I. Who is this privacy policy addressed to?

  1. Lesaffre Polska S.A., with its registered office in Wołczyn 46-250, ul.Dworcowa 36 (hereinafter: “Lesaffre”, the “Company”), places particular importance on the privacy of users of the website www.lesaffre.pl (the “Website”). If you use the Website, this Privacy Policy is addressed to you.
  2. This Privacy Policy explains how we use the personal data you provide to us, how we protect such data, and what rights and obligations you have.

II. Who collects my personal data?

  1. The controller of your personal data is Lesaffre Polska S.A., with its registered office in Wołczyn 46-250, ul. Dworcowa 36.

III. How are my personal data collected?

  1. When you visit the Website www.lesaffre.pl, certain technical data relating to your visit are collected automatically, in particular:
    1. IP address,
    2. type of operating system,
    3. browser type or version.

    A mere visit to our Website does not require you to provide any other information or personal data.

  2. Other data are collected voluntarily through other means, such as by telephone, fax, email, via a newsletter subscription form or by using the contact form, solely where you choose to provide such data to us, for example in order to receive an offer or subscribe to the newsletter. Through these means you can provide us with your personal data, such as:
    1. forename and surname,
    2. email addressn
    3. telephone number,
    4. residential address.
  3. Your personal data are also collected when you send us your job application, by uploading a CV file and a covering letter.
  4. In summary, we may collect and subsequently process your personal data for the purposes of:
    1. responding to your enquiries (if you have called or written to us asking for a quotation or requesting the preparation of a quotation),
    2. marketing our own products (if you are our customer, we may process your data for marketing purposes on the basis of our legitimate interest; on the same basis we use remarketing tools based on cookies; in other cases, our marketing activities are based on your consent),
    3. sending newsletters – where you have given your consent,
    4. recruitment – where you submit your application by sending your CV and covering letter.

IV. Retention and processing period of your data

Your personal data are processed for different periods, depending on the purpose:

  1. If you send us an enquiry by email, for example to one of our sales representatives, your data will be stored and processed for the period necessary to respond to your enquiry.
  2. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your data will be stored and processed until you withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter from us.
  3. If you send us your CV and covering letter, your data will be stored and processed for the purposes of current and future recruitment processes for the same position, but no longer than 12 months from the date of submission of your application.

Please note that you may contact us at any time at rodo@lesaffre.com to request the deletion of your personal data.

V. How are data collected for newsletter subscriptions?

  1. When subscribing to the newsletter and giving consent to receive it, we ask you to provide your first and last name, city, company name and email address to which our information will be sent.
  2. We collect the above data in order to personalise our newsletter as effectively as possible.
  3. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in the footer of each newsletter.
  4. In order to obtain information on which content from our emails you read and which content is not of interest to you, we use software that enables the analysis of such data. Your personal data collected in this manner is not shared with other entities, except for the company operating our Website and companies providing server services for the above purposes.

VI. How are data collected for recruitment purposes?

  1. If you wish to contact us via the contact form for recruitment purposes, we require your first and last name, email address, telephone number, and your CV or covering letter.
  2. There should be an explicit consent formula in your CV or covering letter, e.g. stating: “I hereby consent to the processing of my personal data contained in the application documents submitted by me for the purposes of the recruitment process for the position of ………………… [position to be completed by the applicant], and for future recruitment processes for the same position, conducted by Lesaffre Polska S.A. with its registered office in Wołczyn.” Such information is not a condition for entering into an employment contract but serves to demonstrate that your consent has been obtained for the collection and processing of your personal data.
  3. If you submit your CV, we will store and process it solely for the purposes of current and future recruitment processes for the same position, but no longer than 12 months.

VII. How are personal data collected by automated means? What are cookies?

  1. As mentioned above, when you visit our Website, certain data are collected automatically. The data are collected through so-called cookies.
  2. Cookies are files sent to your computer or other device while browsing the Website.
  3. They allow us to remember and verify your preferences. Thanks to cookies, we are able, among other things, to improve search results and ensure the relevance of the information displayed to you.
  4. Cookies do not make any changes to the settings of your device or the software installed on it.
  5. Please note that you have the right to refuse consent to the use of cookies (you may block them).

  8. Please note that by using the Website you consent to our use of cookies. A relevant notification is displayed automatically each time a user visits the Website for the first time. Blocking or deleting cookies may result in difficulties in using the Website, and some of its features may become unavailable.
  9. Data collected automatically through cookies is used by us to analyse user behaviour on the Website and to collect demographic data about users. This allows us to tailor the content of the Website and to display content relating to the Company on other websites you visit (more details are provided below in Section VIII). VIII. What other technologies do we use to track activity on the Website?

Google Analytics (cookies) – website statistics analysis

  1. Google Analytics uses “cookies” technology to enable the analysis of traffic sources and the manner in which visitors use the Website.
  2. Google collects data obtained from placing cookies on users’ devices on its servers and uses this information to generate reports and provide other services related to website traffic and Internet usage.
  3. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where it is required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
  4. Such data only serve as material for statistical analysis and system error correction mechanisms, and the data from the cookies are therefore not combined in any way with other data you provide us with.

B. Google AdWords (cookies)

  1. Google Ads uses “cookies”, i.e. text files placed on your device, in order to remember which websites have been visited from your device.
  2. Google collects data obtained from cookies placed on users’ devices on its servers and uses this information to display advertisements on other websites you visit.
  3. As advertisers using Google’s services, we do not have access to cookie data stored on your device. However, we may commission advertisements to selected audiences, for example to all persons who have visited our website within the last 7 days.
  4. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where it is required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
  5. For us, such data constitute statistical material only. Advertisements are commissioned solely on the basis of aggregated criteria (to defined target groups rather than individual users). Consequently, cookie data are not linked in any way to other personal data provided by you.

C. Facebook conversion pixel

  1. Our Website uses the so-called Facebook conversion pixel provided by the Facebook social network in order to manage advertisements on Facebook and Instagram platforms and to conduct remarketing activities.
  2. We receive only statistical data from Facebook, without any reference to specific individuals. This enables us to assess the effectiveness of advertisements on Facebook and Instagram for statistical and market research purposes.   3. The Facebook pixel is used to track visits and user behaviour on the Website. This allows advertisements to be targeted at users who have previously visited the Website or specific subpages thereof (remarketing).
  4. The data are used solely for statistical analysis, and advertisements are commissioned only on the basis of aggregated criteria (for specific target groups, not individual users). Accordingly, data obtained via the Facebook pixel is not linked in any way to other personal data provided by you.

IX. For what purposes are personal data not obtained from cookies used? Are such data shared with third parties?

  1. The personal data you provide to us are used for:
    1. marketing activities,
    2. handling your enquiries and any concerns you may raise,
    3. conducting recruitment processes, where you have provided us with your data for this purpose.
  2. Where necessary to carry out the above activities, your data may be disclosed to other entities. Such disclosure may take place only with our consent, on the basis of a concluded agreement, and solely to entities that ensure your data will be properly protected and processed in accordance with applicable law. This means that your personal data may be disclosed to:
    1. the company that operates our Website,
    2. the hosting provider that maintains our Website on its servers,
    3. the IT company that maintains a backup copy of the website,
    4. HR agencies, where we entrust them with conducting a specific recruitment process.
  3. We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area.
  4. If you consent to the use of your personal data for the purpose of receiving commercial information (newsletter), your data will be collected and used for marketing purposes, i.e. to send you marketing-related information.
  5. If you are not our customer and have not consented to us sending you marketing information by email, SMS or telephone, then personal data that you provide to us (e.g. our employee or consultant) directly, e.g. by telephone, may only be used by us to contact you and provide you with the necessary assistance and for the purpose of the contract concluded between us and you or your company.
  6. If you are our customer, we may, on the basis of our legitimate interest, contact you for the purpose of promoting our own products. However, if you do not wish to receive telephone or email contact, we may only send you written materials by traditional post.

X. Do I have access to my personal data? Can I withdraw my consent to receive commercial information?

  1. Remember that you are entitled to access your personal data at any time. You may obtain, free of charge, a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  2. You can also always get information from us on:
    1. the purpose of processing your data,
    2. the categories of personal data processed,
    3. the recipients to whom your data are disclosed,
    4. the period for which we intend to retain your data.
  3. You have the right to:
    1. rectify your personal data;
    2. erase or restrict the processing of your data where they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was provided, where you have withdrawn your consent, or where you object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes.
  4. You may withdraw your consent to receive commercial information by email and/or consent to marketing-related telephone contact at any time. You may withdraw your consent by sending an email to: rodo@lesaffre.com. Each newsletter email we send also contains an unsubscribe link in the footer, allowing you to remove yourself from the mailing list.
  5. You may also lodge a complete objection to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes.

XI. Are my personal data protected?

  1. We protect your personal data by applying organisational and technical measures that are necessary and appropriate to prevent risks to your rights and freedoms.
  2. In particular, we protect your personal data against unauthorised access, as well as against damage or loss.
  3. Data transmission security is ensured through the use of the SSL (Secure Socket Layer v3) transmission protocol. SSL involves encrypting data before it is sent> from your browser and decrypting it once it has been securely received by the server operating the Website.

XII. Final Provisions.

  1. The principles set out in this Privacy Policy are governed by Polish law.
  2. You may lodge a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data at any time. Complaints should be submitted to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
  3. This Privacy Policy comes into force on 25.05.2018.
